Stephen Gage and Ben Scala are a pop songwriting/producing duo hailing from Upstate NY. Both writers grew from their original roots as artists with their respective former groups, and ultimately found themselves joining forces as a writing team determined to make their impact on the pop/rock world.
As both of their bands found small glimmers of national success as unsigned acts, they both individually saw the power in creating hit, timeless, records. This realization is what led both of them into their respective songwriting careers.
Gage has worked his way through the ropes of the music industry, both in NYC and Los Angeles. He has toured the United States along with releasing a record nationwide in Japan with his former pop/rock group he fronted, "October Nites." The band saw placements on several MTV programs, and were also featured by PureVolume as one of their "Top 21 Unsigned Artists of 2008."
Scala is a graduate of the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, where he concentrated in Audio Production. His former band "Almost Better" saw success on PureVolume as well, charting at the #1 Unsigned Artist position. The group also saw radio airplay on college radio in NY.
The songwriting duo also have a side project together known as "Away To Beautiful." Some of their songs have been licensed with MTV Networks and Bunim/Murray Productions. Their music has since been featured on MTV's "Real World: Washington D.C."

Hoy ha sido un día increible, primero el Atleti gana la Supercopa y luego llego al estudio y me dice CJ que tiene una sorpresa para mi. Cuando me dijo que Steve Lukather iba a venir a poner las guitarras porque queria dejar su esencia en las nuevas canciones, el corazón me dio un vuelco. Cada vez que tocaba la guitarra me levantaba de la silla sin querer. Cuando le di las gracias, me dijo que sólo pasaba a decirnos Hola y yo le dije que fue el mejor Hola que he oido en mi vida.
Vaya dos leyendas con las que tengo el gusto de trabajar y el martes otra más con Phil Collen!Steve Lukather estará presentando su nuevo trabajo en noviembre o diciembre en europa. Si teneis oportunidad no os lo perdais. Es uno de los grandes.
Pedazo de canción la de ayer, CJ es un genio!! Además de las risas que nos echamos es mágico con el teclado y en la producción.
Me siento tan feliz que no he pegado ojo. Y con unas ganas de seguir haciendo canciones que no se puede explicar.

Coescribiendo en North Hollywood

Os acordais cuando visité los míticos estudios "The Village"? Allí nos reunimos un amigo que conocí recientemente e increible persona "Ed Cherney" y pensó que que haría muy buen equipo con CJ Vanston y Phil Collen. Estaba en lo cierto!!!La semana pasada empezó una aventura musical nueva, FUN, FUN ,FUN y llena de creatividad. Estoy coescribiendo con CJ Vanston un par de temas en su estudio "The tree house" que no me los quito de la cabeza. Es normal que salgan cosas tan increibles por la clase de persona que es, ya no sólo por su curriculum, le pone la misma pasión a todos sus trabajos y esos se nota. Esta semana continuaremos con las canciones y además haremos otra con Phil Collen, que estoy deseando conocerle también. No me imagino que puede salir de allí con tanto talento alrededor!!! Sólo quería compartirlo con todos vosotros.

En el año 2000, 164 gobiernos acordaron establecer los objetivos de la Educación para Todos y Todas y 189 gobiernos establecieron los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio de Naciones Unidas. Dos de los ocho objetivos persiguen poner fin a la pobreza a través de la educación:
* consiguiendo que todos los niños y niñas puedan completar la etapa de primaria antes de 2015.
* garantizando que las niñas tengan las mismas oportunidades educativas a todos los niveles antes de 2015.

Los gobiernos se comprometieron a destinar los recursos suficientes y a implantar las políticas necesarias para convertir estos objetivos en realidad. Desde entonces, en un gran número de países se han suprimido los pagos escolares, el gasto se ha incrementado en 4.000 millones USD y se ha escolarizado una cifra adicional de 40 millones de niñas y niños.

Sin embargo, el ritmo de estos avances no es suficientemente rápido. Si se siguen haciendo las cosas 'como hasta ahora', máis de 50 millones de niñas y niños seguiráán sin acceso a la educación en 2015. Conoce más sobre la Educación para Todos y Todas.

1GOL es una iniciativa de la sección futbolística de la Clase de 2015 está dirigida por la Campaña Mundial por la Educación y tiene como fin conseguir suficientes apoyos como para exigir a los dirigentes mundiales que mantengan los compromisos realizados para el año 2015.
